Weekend Intensives

Let Down Your Burdens

As you drive to the property, you can feel your stresses start to melt away. The wide open spaces, abundant wildlife, and towering mountains in the distance allow your brain to wander to the simpler times. The times when there weren’t cell phones asking for attention at every moment, the times where you were allowed to slow down and enjoy the moment and the times that you were able to care for yourself and spend time in quiet reflection.

Spend the long weekend discovering what you truly enjoy, who you are and what inspires joy within you. Your time at Restorative Strides will allow you to connect to your soul, horses, and nature.

Come stay on the ranch and enjoy 3 days of healing work and beautiful views. Enjoy tasting ranch raised, locally sourced ingredients for your first meal at the ranch as you feel the stresses of your day to day life melting away. Retreats run from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. We will dive deep into what is holding you back from the life you want and discover who you are at your core.

Equine Gestalt Intensives

Weekend Intensives at Restorative Strides include deep personal work as we partner with horses. You and your fellow intensive attendees will be asked the questions that will give you tools to you to look within and find your truth. The horses will help guide you to the answers that you seek on a deep level. The pain that you have put into a box, will be allowed to be set down and taken away by the wind. Let it fly away so you can find the freedom to be who you were meant to be.

Retreat FAQs

Retreats at Restorative Strides are a rustic step back in time. The old granary from 1940 has been turned into a bunkhouse and common area for visitors. The horse paddocks have antique wheels decorating them while adding to the rustic charm. Walk around and see the other old buildings from the late 1800s.  Enjoy imagining what it was like to be a homesteader as you look at the sweeping views. Breathe in and enjoy the sound of the wind, the birds chirping and the horses eating. You will be amazed as you look up at night to see the thousands of stars there to hold your wishes.

1. Where do I fly into?

Great Falls is the closest airport to Restorative Strides. The airport is small and easy to get into and out of. When you land in Great Falls, you will enjoy the easy 90 minute drive out to the ranch. The views are vast and the history is rich.

There are multiple options within a three hour drive of the ranch. Billings and Bozeman airports are easy to fly into and are a three hour beautiful drive away from the ranch.

2. Where do we sleep?

Retreat goers will be sharing common sleep spaces. We have a bunk room in the Granary that will sleep 5. There is a glamping tent with 2 beds. Pictures to come in the following months. If you need the privacy of your own space while at your retreat, please reach out and let us know when signing up. There is also a small local motel within a short, 8 minute drive. If you would like to book with that motel, instead of the ranch we are happy to accommodate you. We also have room for tents and RVs if you prefer having your very own space!

3. What do I need to bring?

Boots are important to keep your feet safe. The weather is varied in Central Montana and depending on the time of year. We will be outside for most of our retreat as weather allows. A good hat and sunscreen are a must.  A list of packing suggestions will be sent to you in your welcome packet after registration.

4. I am not an equestrian and/or am scared of horses. Is this retreat still for me?

Absolutely, yes. We have a gentle herd of horses that are on the smaller side. We also have minis that are great at partnering with humans for those that might be scared to be with a bigger horse.

5. Will we be riding the horses?

No. All of our work with the horses will be done on the ground. There will be plenty of time to love on and enjoy being in the healing presence of our herd.

6. What is the cost of a retreat?

Retreats for the 2023 season are deeply discounted at $600. A deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking. Deposits are non-refundable. The remaining $500 is due 30 days before retreat start.
