Reading Your Horse’s Cues Workshop
Workshop Overview
What if you could enhance your body awareness and, in turn, improve your riding and connection with your horse? How might that transform your partnership with your horse?
I’ve learned that our awareness as humans profoundly impacts our interactions with horses. Building trust with a horse starts with the awareness that you have within yourself and in turn, your equine partner. The smallest movements, subtle give-and-takes, and even our breath all play crucial roles in our interactions and trust building.
Whether a horse braces against us or flows with us depends on our nervous systems, our connection to ourselves, and our bond with the horse. When we fail to connect and look within, it reflects in our horses through inconsistency, pushiness, flightiness, and other unwanted behaviors. When we fail to connect, our timing is off and our horses are left searching for the answers.
Workshop Highlights:
– Guided Mindfulness Practices with your equine partner: Go on a journey to cultivate presence and calmness with your equine partner.
– Creative Exercises to Enhance Connection: Engage in activities that foster a deeper bond through creativity and play.
– Techniques to Develop Awareness and Alignment: Discover how to align your movements, thoughts, and emotions with your horse’s natural rhythms.
– Equine Gestalt Coaching: Support as you work any through anxiety or fear that comes up within you. We will focus on ground work, in hand, while focusing on reading the body language of the horse, timing of release, and connecting to your own body to help regulate the horse and yourself.
